How often do I need manual lymphatic drainage treatment?
It depends of your physical condition.
However I usually recommend to my clients having MLD,
First, once in 2 or 3 days. Keep this pace 3 or 4 times and see what happens.
Following week, have MLD once a week for about 3 weeks.
Then once fortnightly.
If still you need it, once a month as a maintenance.
Why do you need to have it often in the beginning?
By repeatedly and slowly moving the same area of the skin with warm hands, waste fluid are fluidized and helped to be absorbed into the lymph vessels.
In the early stages, if the treatments frequently, with short intervals, the fluid will move better and the effect of MLD will increase.
